Protecting Against Fraud, Scams, and Abuse

At Pridebnb, we are dedicated to maintaining the integrity of our platform and fostering a supportive environment for all LGBTQ+ travelers. To achieve this, we have established clear guidelines on what is allowed and what is strictly prohibited within our community.

What We Do Allow

Select Off-Site Payments: In certain cases, with prior approval from Pridebnb, hosts can collect off-site payments for specific purposes, such as local taxes, occupancy fees, security deposits, and incidental charges like pet fees or parking.

What We Don't Allow

  1. Extortion: To ensure respectful interactions, we strictly prohibit any form of direct or indirect threats used to manipulate an outcome, such as coercing payment or securing favorable reviews.

  2. Off-Platform Activity: Pridebnb expects all communication, transactions, and payments to occur within our platform. Sharing personal contact information or attempting to make transactions outside of Pridebnb is strictly forbidden.

  3. Special Offers and Discounts Abuse: We encourage the proper use of Pridebnb's special offers and discounts and prohibit any misuse to gain unfair advantages.

  4. Non-Fraud Chargebacks: To uphold fairness, making false or misleading chargeback claims to obtain unwarranted refunds is not tolerated on our platform.

Pridebnb's Commitment to Safety

Security Deposits

To protect both hosts and guests, Pridebnb handles security deposits with care and transparency. Hosts are not allowed to charge security deposits through our Resolution Center or outside the platform. Instead, guests are informed during the booking process that their payment method may be charged for any damages during their stay.

Damage Reimbursements without Security Deposits

In the event of damages caused by guests, their invitees, or pets during their stay, hosts can request reimbursement through our Resolution Center. If Pridebnb determines the guest's responsibility, their payment method will be charged accordingly.

Collecting Fees Outside Pridebnb

In general, hosts are expected to conduct all transactions within our platform. However, hotels and software-connected hosts may charge certain fees through separate payment methods, provided they are clearly stated in the listing and price breakdown before booking. These fees may include resort fees, security deposits, cleaning fees, and incidentals like valet or parking.

Safety, trust, and inclusivity are the cornerstones of Pridebnb. By adhering to our policies and working together as a community, we can create a secure and positive travel experience for LGBTQ+ travelers worldwide. If you come across any behavior that violates our policies, please don't hesitate to report it so that we can take appropriate action and maintain Pridebnb as a welcoming haven for all.
