Specific Guidance for Hosts: Ensuring Inclusivity in the United States
Pridebnb hosts in the United States (European Union and Canada in the near future) must abide by the following rules when considering potential guests and hosting guests:
Race, Color, Ethnicity, National Origin, Religion, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, or Marital Status
Hosts may not decline a booking or impose different terms based on these factors. No discriminatory language or listings that discourage or indicate a preference for or against guests based on these factors are allowed.
Gender Identity
Hosts may not decline a booking based on gender identity unless sharing living spaces with the guest. No discriminatory terms or conditions based on gender are allowed, except when living spaces are shared. Age and Familial Status:
Hosts may not impose different terms or conditions or decline reservations based on age or familial status, where prohibited by law.
Hosts may provide factual information about their listing's features that could affect certain age groups or families.
Disability
Hosts may not decline guests based on disability or impose different terms or conditions due to disability. Reasonable accommodations should be provided to guests with disabilities. Hosts must not charge extra fees for guests with disabilities, including pet fees for service animals.
Hosts Outside the United States (European Union, and Canada)
In regions where local laws permit or require distinctions based on factors such as marital status, gender, or sexual orientation, hosts must disclose any restrictions that affect hosting particular guests. Clear, factual, and non-derogatory language should be used when communicating these restrictions.
Combatting Hate, Harassment, and Discrimination
