Whether you need help with hosting on Pridebnb, understanding cancellation policies, or making your listing more family-friendly, we're here to assist you every step of the way.

In this article we cover:

Cancellation Policy for Your Listing

At Pridebnb, we understand that sometimes unexpected circumstances arise, and guests may need to cancel their reservations. To ensure a smooth experience for both hosts and guests, you can choose a cancellation policy for each of your listings. Here's how you can do that:

By default, Pridebnb adopts a "Flexible" cancellation policy.

This means that guests must provide a 48-hour cancellation notice to be eligible for a refund. If guests cancel within 48 hours of their check-in time, they may not receive a refund. However, guests can also receive a full refund if they cancel within 48 hours of booking, as long as the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before check-in.

The Flexible Policy offers the following details:

  • Guests receive a full refund if they cancel at least 48 hours before check-in.
  • If they cancel after that, you'll be paid for each night they stay, plus one additional night.
  • If they cancel within 48 hours of booking, they will get a full refund, provided the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before check-in.

Keep in mind that cancellation policies can vary depending on the host, which may affect the amount of refund guests receive. A "Full refund" typically refers to the nightly rate only. Refunds on Pridebnb guest fees depend on various factors.

Cancellation Policies

"Flexible" is the default cancellation policy on Pridebnb platform.

However, if you, as the host, wish to adapt a less flexible cancellation policy, you must clearly state it in your listing description and provide detailed explanations of how it works. Below are the cancellation options you can choose from:

Flexible Policy (default)

  • Guests receive a full refund if they cancel at least 48 hours before check-in.
  • If they cancel after that, you'll be paid for each night they stay, plus one additional night.
  • If they cancel within 48 hours of booking, they will get a full refund, provided the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before check-in.

Moderate Policy

  • Guests receive a full refund if they cancel at least 7 days before check-in.
  • If they cancel less than 7 days before check-in, you'll be paid 50% for all nights.
  • If they cancel within 48 hours of booking, they will get a full refund, provided the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before check-in.

Firm Policy

  • Guests receive a full refund if they cancel at least 14 days before check-in.
  • If they cancel less than 14 days before check-in, you'll be paid 100% for all nights.
  • If they cancel within 48 hours of booking, they will get a full refund, provided the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before check-in.

Special Cases

Please note that there are some instances where your cancellation policy may be overridden. Additionally, from time to time, Pridebnb may test new cancellation policies. If you cannot find your cancellation policy described in this article, refer to the reservation details for the booking.

How to Communicate Your Cancellation Policy

If you want to offer guests more flexibility or prefer greater protection against cancellations, you can easily change your cancellation policy. Here's how:

  1. Go to "Your homes" and select the listing you want to change.
  2. Click "Listing description."
  3. In the listing description include a "Policies" section
  4. Type your desired cancellation policy (Flexible, Moderate, Firm, Strict) and copy and paste the specifications listed above.
  5. Click "Save changes."

Please note that any changes to your cancellation policy will only apply to future reservations and won't affect any pending or confirmed bookings.

Host Families with Children

At Pridebnb, we welcome families of all shapes and sizes, including those with little ones. If your listing can accommodate families and children, it becomes even more appealing to a wider audience. Here are some recommended amenities and safety equipment to make your place extra welcoming:

  1. A working smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) detector on every floor and in all sleeping areas.
  2. A portable crib with a firm fitting crib sheet, placed away from windows and blinds.
  3. Removable safety gates for stairs and, if you have a pool, a gate around it.
  4. Cordless window blinds.
  5. Secured storage for all household cleaning products, liquid laundry packets, medicine, and chemicals.
  6. Stoves, cookers, kettles, and other items with safety risks should have children's locks or be placed out of reach for children.
  7. Mount flat panel TVs on walls or use low, stable pieces of furniture for heavier TVs.
  8. Use brackets, braces, or wall traps to secure unstable and top-heavy furniture to avoid tip-overs.
  9. Set water heaters to no higher than 120 degrees Fahrenheit to avoid scalds.

These safety measures are not only helpful for families with children and infants but can also enhance the safety and comfort of all guests during their stay at your listing.
